Calrossy Centenary

Calrossy is celebrating a very big birthday this year. It's Calrossy's Centenary Year and our Committee has been busily working to prepare a fantastic year for all of our Calrossy Community, near and far, that will pay tribute to our history and our future. 


Help Calrossy celebrate this wonderful milestone.  We are calling on all past students, parents and staff to get in touch with us at for more information and to get involved.  We hope to see you at Calrossy this year!


Friday April 26 Brisbane Street Campus

  • 2pm - 4pm Registration opens for Alumni to collect their welcome packages
  • 5pm Canapés and Pre Dinner Drinks in the Peter Smart Hall.  Casual Dress
  • Support is available to arrange Class Dinners at local restaurants. Please email or call 02 5776 5100 for more information.

Saturday April 27 Brisbane Street Campus

  • 9am – 10am Communion Service Open Table and Official Reunion Photo.
  • 10am – 10:50am Morning Tea and 1989 time capsule that was buried for 30 years will be on display in the Peter Smart Hall
  • 11am - Unveiling of the Mary England Drawing Room
  • 11:30am -  Brisbane St Campus Tours showcasing Calrossy in 2019, Visit our Science Labs, Maker Space and Art rooms, just to name a few and also have the opportunity to meet present staff members.
  • 1:15pm – A bus will be available for transport to the Lunch at our William Cowper Campus.

Saturday April 27, William Cowper Campus – 242 Moore Creek Road

  • 1:30pm BBQ Lunch where you can sample our delicious Calrossy Kamilaroi Shorthorn steaks, in our opinion, the best in the North West.
  • 2:15pm William Cowper Campus Tours including Secondary Boys, Primary classrooms and award winning Kamillaroi Shorthorn Cattle Team displays. These tours will also showcase our plans for the Future developments at the William Cowper Campus and for Calrossy.  
  • 3:30pm Special Reunion Photo at the William Cowper Campus .
  • 4pm Official dedication of our William Cowper Campus School Oval to named Goldsworthy Oval, Blessing of the Oval by Chaplin Stephen Price
  • 4:15pm Alumni Versus Students Centenary Rugby Match with Mr Joe Goldsworthy, Alumni Team Manager and Head Selector Versus Mr. Eliot Sanger, Students Team Manager.  Special Guest Referee to be announced. 

5pm Buses are available for return to Brisbane Street.

6:15pm Buses to leave Brisbane street for Alumni staying in school boarding houses.

  • 6:45pm Dinner Celebration at the Bishop Peter Chiswell Hall at the William Cowper Campus.

Busses leave for the Brisbane Street Campus via accommodation and town at 10pm & 11pm

The entire Calrossy Community, past and present, are invited to the Calrossy Centenary Church Service at St Johns Anglican Church in Carthage Street, Tamworth

Morning Tea will be held at the Calrossy Brisbane Street Campus.  This will also be the opportunity to say final goodbyes. 


May 2019 - Calrossy Primary 20th Birthday Celebration Friday, May 17, 2019

This month marks the 20th year anniversary for Calrossy Primary School and there will be a Primary Centenary Celebration held at the William Cowper Campus on Friday, May 17 from 3-7pm. Events to celebrate this milestone will include an Open Day, Time Capsule Opening, Tabloid Sports Day and lots of fun activities for the whole family.

Don't miss the Calrossy  Event of the Year.... The Calrossy “Ball of the Century”  Theme is the "Roaring 20's" or Black Tie.  Tickets will be made available later in the year.


Calrossy Centenary Art Show –

Friday November 22 and Saturday, November 23 at the Bishop Peter Chiswell Hall, William Cowper Campus.

    Calrossy has four boarding facilities for Secondary Girls, conveniently located on or near the Brisbane Street Campus.

  • Secondary Boys Facilities

    Our boys' boarding facility is located near the William Cowper Campus and central to Tamworth.



Calrossy offers a variety of scholarships across disciplines for Secondary students.
