Innovation & Technology
Calrossy Anglican School has introduced state of the art educational technologies and learning systems enhanced by the School's connection to AARNET.
Calrossy recently invested 1.5 million dollars to lay fibre-optic wiring connecting the School to AARNET which provides internet connection engineered to accommodate extreme peaks of demand with a minimum of congestion and removes geographical barriers to the creation of new educational experiences and research-led innovation.
At Calrossy Anglican School, technology is an integral part of the learning experience. We do not simply teach computer classes but rather technology is used to enhance our curriculum and to teach our students the skills they need to be successful and to keep pace with the constantly changing global technological advances.
As a component of an integrated education environment, students in the Primary years of schooling use desktop computers as well we iPads in every classroom using the wireless network throughout the School. They create videos, websites, learn computer coding and use green screen technology and 3D printing to engage them in a variety of learning scenarios. State-of-the-art Smartboards, interactive whiteboard systems that have a touch-sensitive surface, are also in use in each classroom on the Primary campus.
