ACER Academic Scholarship Exam
The Academic Scholarship is based on academic merit as demonstrated through ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research) testing. The ACER Scholarship Test is used by approximately 200 Independent Schools across Australia to identify academically able applicants for the award of a scholarship. The tests are not curriculum based and do not test the ability to retrieve learned knowledge, nor are they diagnostic. They are designed to rank order applicants, finely differentiating the top end of performance. The ACER Scholarship Test requires applicants to demonstrate a range of skills such as the ability to interpret, infer, deduce and think critically.
ACER produces these tests, supplies them to schools, marks applicants’ papers and reports applicant results back to the schools and parents.
This year ACER examinations have been impacted by COVID isolation requirements. Calrossy will host an alternate ACER Test on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 8.30am to 12pm. Applications close Wednesday, April 20.
Registration is $120 and practice papers are available for purchase.
