Last week Calrossy Career Advisor and students finished up their Northern University Tour for 2021. This tour started as a small pilot trip with three Calrossy Students in 2016 and this year Calrossy visited six universities and two campuses with almost 50 students from from Tamworth, Armidale, Glen Innes and Tenterfield.

The Universities visited included the University of the Sunshine Coast, Bond University, Southern Cross, Griffith, The University of Queensland, and the Queensland University of Technology. 

In 2018, then Yr 12 student Abby Griffiths joined us for the Northern University Tour. Abby took a gap year in 2019 and now is now a ‘Bondy’ completing a Bachelor of Laws at Bond University, with under a year to go. Abby has gone full circle and was one of the four Bond Ambassadors who hosted our students during their of Bond University.  

Calrossy Career Adviser, Mr Charles Impey said "it was an absolute joy to be guided by Abby on our Bond Tour.  Our current Yr 11 students, (pictured) gained some extraordinary personal insights from a student who studied in the same classroom our students are in now".

Mr Impey also added that "One of the most amazingly enjoyable parts of my job is to catch up again with our alumni including both Katie Salter (Class of 2017 ) and Abby Griffiths (class of 2018)"
