Calrossy Secondary Da Vinci Decathlon teams through to the next round
It was our secondary students turn to compete at the Da Vinci Decathlon held in Armidale over the last two days and they have done amazingly well. Our Yr 7's came 3rd Overall and our Yr 8 Team came 1st in English, 1st in Art and Poetry and 1st in Ideation which combined gave them 1st Overall in their Year Group. Yesterday our Yr 9's came 1st in English, Science and Legacy categories, while our Yr 10's secured 1st place in English, Science and Ideation that when combined gave them the 1st Overall too! Our Yr 8 and Yr 10 Teams will now go on to compete at State level in May. Special thanks to our teachers Penny Travaskis and Bianca Wilmott for doing such a great job running practice sessions with these groups each week. Congratulations everyone!
