Vale Gloria Thew
The Calrossy community was sad to hear that on Christmas Day, 2020 Mrs Gloria Thew peacefully passed away at 97 years. Mrs Thew was a long time house mistress at Calrossy who contributed much to the Boarding community. A woman of deep Christian faith, she held students to high standards but was a wonderful mum to generations of girls who remember her fondly.
The memorial service for Mrs Thew is at St Peter’s South Tamworth on Tuesday 5th January at 1 pm, following a private family ceremony. Calrossy expresses our deepest condolences to her children John, Rosemary and Kathryn and to her extensive family! Gloria’s grandson Peter wrote that she has left behind a great legacy of faith and dedication. Mrs Thew’s contribution to Calrossy lives on in the generations she influenced!
