Our School

Calrossy is an Independent Anglican day school for boys and girls from Preschool through to Year 12, and also offers Secondary Boarding for girls and boys. Established in 1919, the School has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for approximately 640 secondary student and 375 primary students, more than 250 of these students are boarders. Whilst a comprehensive school with an open enrolment policy, Calrossy has performed as the top academic school in North West NSW in the past ten years, regularly achieving HSC results in the top echelon of schools in the State.

Calrossy operates on two campuses in Tamworth, with the Junior School and Years 7 – 9 located on the William Cowper Campus in North Tamworth and Years 10 -12 students learning at our Brisbane Street Campus in East Tamworth. Calrossy operates Tangara Farm as a Trade Training Centre which is home to our renowned Agriculture and Primary Industries programs.

In 2021 we launched eCalrossy – a full time distance education program in which students utilise the benefits of live video conferencing. This program has now expanded to cater for students in Years 5 to 9.

Music Teacher

We are seeking an experienced, innovative and dynamic qualified Music teacher for a full time position commencing Term 1, 2025.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge of the NESA K–12 Music syllabus documents and possess the capacity to encourage and inspire students in their love of learning in Music. Ability to teach strings would be advantageous.

Educator - Diploma Qualified

Reporting to the Preschool Director, we are seeking a qualified educator for casual and part time positions in our preschool. The Preschool operates five days a week from 8:30am–4:00pm, and follows the NSW Public Schools term dates. The comprehensive programming provides children with a firm foundation in pre-reading and pre-numeracy skills, while the facilities allow children to explore their creativity.

Agriculture / Primary Industries Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Agriculture and Primary Industries teacher, for a full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025. This position also acts as the Cattle Team Coordinator.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge of the NESA Stage 6 Agriculture and Stage 5 Agriculture Technology syllabuses along with the Teaching of Primary Industries in Year 11 and 12. The applicant should possess the capacity to encourage and inspire students in their love of learning in a Christian environment.

Health Centre Driver

We are seeking an experienced and motivated team member to assist our Health Centre with the driving of students to appointments and various other duties that may be required. This is a hands-on role which requires the appointee to work alone or as part of a group to ensure tasks are achieved in a timely manner.

Casual Nurse

We are seeking a qualified nurse for a casual / part time position in our School Health Centre/s.

This is predominantly a term time role with some holiday work, supporting a daytime health clinic on both school campuses along with the necessity to work some night and weekend shifts caring for our Boarders.
