Boarding

at Calrossy

Calrossy has always had boarding at its heart with a third of our Secondary students calling Calrossy home during the school term. We offer Boarding for girls and boys, on separate campuses, from Years 7 to 12.

OUR GOAL

Since 1919 Calrossy Boarding’s heart and soul has always had a focus on learning, growing and serving

With just under one-third of our Secondary students calling Calrossy home during the school term, Boarding is at the core of the school's Secondary operations. Calrossy prides itself on offering vast opportunities and proven Wellbeing structures for girls and boys across two boarding campuses.

OUR CURRICULUM

Explore Boarding

At Calrossy we aspire to drive change that matters and be the creators of hope. This means we deliberately set paths that will bring about the most gain for our students, at every age and stage, from those beginning their learning journey to our Graduates.

Boarder PERSPECTIVES

I am a third-generation boarder here at Calrossy Anglican School. I have been supported and cared for over the last 6 years of my schooling, filled with friendships, laughter and growth. I've been supported every step of the way. There is never a dull moment in the boarding community.

Elinor Brooks

Year 12 Boarder, Murrurundi.

I've been a boarder at Simpson since Year 7, there has been so many highlights over the years, the mateships I've formed with all the boys and the lifelong friendships. Being in boarding is like spending time with my brothers and I look forward to heading back everyday after school.

Hamish Ward

Year 12 Boarder, Kentucky, Uralla.

“Calrossy was more than a school to me – it was my safe haven surrounded by friends who became sisters and staff who would go out of their way to help. My time at Calrossy taught me that women can do anything and, when we work together and have each other’s back, we truly will go far.”.

Major Liz Daly

Australian Defence Force

Boarding at Calrossy has abundantly increased a sense of belonging to all boarders... The boarding staff are kind as well as supportive and make sure you are loved and cared, and you develop a meaningful bond with them over the years. Being at Boarding helps me a lot with my studies as you have peers and many resources to help you through everything.

Sree Gopinath

Year 12 Boarder

I really enjoy life at Calrossy Boarding especially the strong bond that I have with all age groups and I interact with all age groups and the brother hood involved in that. The friendships that I have made over the years are stronger than any I have ever had before and I learn plenty of things from my friends from different places.
