Calrossy Primary and Infants students are in coeducational classes where the focus is on building a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy for success.
Curriculum
Calrossy encourages growth through opportunity and instilling in children a love of learning by making the experience fun and relevant, while implementing the curriculum of the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA).
In seeking to promote educational excellence, Calrossy has developed a commitment to personal attention and success for students. We focus an on literacy, numeracy, creativity and inquiry skills, alongside the integration of technology and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) skills.
All students at Calrossy Junior School from Kindergarten to Year 6 study the mandatory core curriculum which includes:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science and Technology
- Human Society and its Environment (History and Geography)
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
- Creative Arts: Visual Art, Dance, Drama, Music
- and a school-based program of Christian Studies.
Alongside the curriculum students have performance opportunities, excursions, camps, clubs and activities that contribute to a holistic educational experience where curiosity is peaked and learning and growth flourish
