Welcome from the Head of Middle School (Calrossy 7-9) Sam Anderson
As the Head of Middle School, I am committed to fostering an environment where every student can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.
Our goal at Calrossy 7-9 is to develop respectful and engaged learners who not only excel academically but also gain skills to contribute positively to their world. At Calrossy, it’s about more than just academic achievement; it's about equipping each student with leadership skills that extend beyond the classroom, making them valuable assets to their family, workplace, and local community. We believe in instilling a love for learning and fostering a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity. Our team is passionate about inspiring a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and growth in character in our students.
Central to our ethos is our Wellbeing Program, designed to support the holistic development of each student.
We recognize that a positive and nurturing environment is crucial for success. This is the philosophy behind single-sex classrooms in Years 7-9, where boys and girls are given the best opportunity to grow and develop into courageous and resilient young men and women through the formative adolescent years.
Through various education initiatives, counselling services, and co-curricular activities, we aim to create an atmosphere where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to strive to realise their God-given potential.
Our Christian vision and mission serve as the guiding principles of our educational approach. We believe that the teachings of Jesus are our “Light and Life” and so we endeavour to cultivate a compassionate and inclusive community where faith is integrated into all aspects of learning.
