We’re excited to announce that twelve of our talented Year 12 students at Calrossy have been nominated for the prestigious HSC Showcase Exhibitions! This is an incredible achievement and highlights the dedication and creativity of our students.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our students and their incredible dedication. Their nominations reflect both their talent and the support of our wonderful teaching staff,” said Mr David Smith, Principal of Calrossy Anglican School.

Our nominated students are from four subject areas from both the Creative and Performing Arts and Technical and Applied Sciences faculties.  They are:

These students will now have the chance to showcase their work or perform at events like ArtExpress, Encore, Shape, and OnSTAGE, which highlight the top HSC submissions across NSW. It’s an amazing opportunity for them to share their creativity and hard work with a wider audience.

A particularly exciting achievement is that every single one of our seven Textile and Design students has been nominated for Texstyle, which is a huge feat! It’s a testament to the ongoing success of our Textile students in this area.

Last year, five of our students were also nominated for Texstyle, and we have had student nominations every year since 2013, with the exception of 2021 as there were no Textile students in that year.

In 2023 we also had two of our students major HSC works chosen for Shape, the prestigious exhibition  for exceptional majors in TAS subjects including Textiles, Industrial Technology and Design Technology.

We’re proud to see our tradition of excellence in TAS and CAPA subjects at Calrossy continue in such a big way!
