Anticipation is growing at Calrossy as the School’s latest addition becomes a William Cowper Campus, where significant progress is being made on our latest major addition: a two-storey classroom block and auditorium. This state-of-the-art building will feature specialised music classrooms, offices for Middle School Years 7-9, administration areas, and versatile general-purpose rooms, plus versatile outdoor spaces surrounding the building.
A Landmark Addition: The 300 Seat Auditorium
The centrepiece of this project is a striking indoor theatre/auditorium, designed to serve the entire school. This addition addresses the Campus's growing need for space and promises to create spacious and engaging learning environments, as well as community spaces. The auditorium will not only be a venue for school events and performances but also a hub for community gatherings, fostering a sense of inclusiveness and collaboration.
Meeting the Needs of a Growing School Community
With Calrossy’s enrolment numbers steadily increasing, this construction is a vital component of a multi-phase Master Plan aimed at accommodating the future growth of the student body. The project, managed by contractors PJ Truman, is on track and within budget. Recent milestones include the installation of external windows and cladding, with the internal fit-out slated to begin shortly. The new building is expected to be completed and handed over by the end of 2024, ready for use in January 2025. Stay tuned for more exciting news on the School’s new Master Plan in coming weeks.
The Crucial Role of the Calrossy Foundation
