The Countdown Begins: 100 Days to the 2024 Red Versus Blue Rugby Event and Alumni Weekend!
The excitement is building as we mark 100 days until the much-anticipated 2024 Red Versus Blue Rugby event and Alumni Weekend at Calrossy Anglican School. This biannual tradition, which brings together alumni, students, and the wider community, promises to be bigger and better than ever.
On Saturday, October 5, the fields at Scully Park Regional Sporting Precinct will come alive with the fierce rivalry of Red versus Blue. With up to 96 Calrossy alumni returning to the pitch, the stakes are high as the Old Girls and Old Boys compete for the prestigious Cowper Shield and the Calrossy Perpetual Shield.
Michael Wilson, School Development Officer says the rugby line up is impressive.
“It’s an absolute thrill to be able to be involved with our Red V Blue Reunion Weekend. The best part is how the community comes together and that there is something for all ages. The quality of the game in 2022 was exceptional and in 2024 we are looking forward to welcoming a Women’s 10s match to the weekend.”
“With 100 days to go until we welcome our Alumni back to Tamworth and Calrossy for the Red V Blue Reunion Weekend. This is a weekend to celebrate, and we are expecting a huge crowd at Scully Park on the 5th of October. As a community, we will pay tribute to Eli Kelly, who passed away in April of this year, and all of our under 16 teams, Old Girls’, and Old Boys’ Teams will have a tribute on each of the playing jumpers. As part of the weekend, we have Wallabies Legend Mark Ella AM who will be in attendance and speak at a pre-game function.”

Welcome Function
Kick off the Alumni Weekend with a fantastic welcome function at the William Cowper Campus. This catered event includes a tour of the school, giving alumni a chance to see recent developments and reminisce. Tickets, priced at $30, include drinks, finger food, and transport. Get your tickets here .
Red vs Blue Rugby Matches ;
Gates open from 12:00 noon with our Under 16s kicking off at 1:00pm before kick off in the Old Girls at 2:00pm and the Old Boys at 3:00pm.

Student (under 14 free): $10
Adult: $25
Family (2 adults & 3 children): $60

Special Tributes and Guests
This year, the community will pay tribute to Eli Kelly (Class of 2020) who passed away in April and played in the 2022 Red V Blue. All under-16 teams, Old Girls’, and Old Boys’ teams will have a tribute on their playing jumpers. Additionally, Wallabies Legend Mark Ella AM will attend and speak at a pre-game function.
